Strada18 – South Norwalk, CT

One of our most frequently asked questions is “where do you go for Italian food?”  This is a really hard question.  It’s hard to go to a restaurant when you make that food yourself.  You’re extra critical and you typically leave saying “I make it better myself”.  However, our answer to this question is always “Strada 18 in South Norwalk”.  So I think that says a lot… We recently were invited as guests of Strada 18 in South Norwalk to taste some new items on the menu.  It has always been one of our favorite places to go for great

Panko-Crusted Pork Chops

To celebrate a long, treacherous work week being over, I felt in the mood to make something really, really good.  I didn’t have too much in the fridge, so I did what I do best … whip something up on the fly with what I had – pork chops and a little arugula.  Luckily, that made for a pretty delicious meal. Ingredients: 4 thin boneless pork chops Salt & pepper 1/4 extra virgin olive oil Regular olive oil (just to coat the pan) 1 cup panko bread crumbs (may need more depending on how big the pork chops are) 1

During one of the last snowstorms, I was in the mood for a hearty, but also easy meal so I decided to make a slow-cooker recipe.  I used a package of skinless chicken thighs and added some onions, butter and hot sauce.  The beauty of this meal is that you can put everything in one pot and leave it alone to cook.  You can use the resulting deliciousness in a sandwich, wrap, taco, or even on a pizza!  Here’s what you’ll need: Ingredients: 1 package of skinless chicken thighs (1 lb.) 4 tbsp of butter 1 cup of
