The Beach Burger, located in Norwalk, CT is the newest addition to our recommended “hot spots” in Fairfield County.  Looking for an easy place to get some good grub?  Then this is the place.  Burgers, salads, sandwiches, and shakes are their specialty.  The owner of Mr. Frosty’s Ice Cream (located right next door) teamed up with Food Network celeb Chef Marc Anthony Bynum to create The Beach Burger in 2011.  The burgers are made with 100% all natural grass-fed beef… and it’s delicious.  Don’t eat meat?  No worries.  They have turkey burgers, falafel burgers, fish and chips and local oysters, freshly delivered from Norm Bloom & Son Inc. YUM!

The Beach Burger is more of a take-out joint than a “restaurant”.  There’s no tables, but there’s a wrap-around high-top eating counter which is great for just grabbing a quick bite. In the summer, you can take your food across the street and eat al fresco at the neighboring Mr. Frosty’s Ice Cream, which is great on a nice day since it’s right by the water.

Jeff created his own burger with caramelized onions, guacamole, and …. BACON. For a side he had the house-cut fries.

I went with a more “guilt-free” option called “The Skinny”.  Yes ladies, the “The Skinny”!  Angus burger, roasted zucchini, squash, lettuce, tomato, balsamic mayo (which was very light… I’m not a mayo eater usually), and NO BUN!  And for a side I chose a fresh, crispy house salad.

To top it off, we split an order of FRIED OYSTERS, which were fried to perfection! …so much for my “skinny” meal…

So there you have it… our new local “go-to” spot!
