Skirt steak is a cut of beef steak, from the plate. It is a long, flat cut that is prized for its flavor rather than tenderness. Sometimes flank steak is used interchangeably with skirt steak, but it is a different cut of meat. Skirt steak is a favorite of ours… especially this recipe!
- 1 1/2 pounds skirt steak
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon black pepper season mix (Montreal Steak Seasoning)
In a zip-top bag, place skirt steak, beer, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and season mix. Push out air and seal. Shake to combine. Set aside. Don’t have a zip-top bag? No worries. We didn’t either!
Preheat grill. Grill steak approximately 3 to 5 minutes per side for medium rare.9Apps Download Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Thinly slice steak at an angle.
