Our new favorite happy hour spot… BAR SUGO in Norwalk, CT.  And it’s not because it’s walking distance from us!  It’s because it’s a great place to get some fabulous Italian small plates (called “cichetti”), wine, and cocktails.  The staff are super nice and the service is fabulous … and how often do we get to say that!?

A few weeks ago, we decided to enjoy a gorgeous Friday sitting at a high-top at Bar Sugo. Because the front doors were lifted, the open air also made for a really great afternoon out.  We were starving, so it’s really hard to just choose a few things because everything on the menu sounds delicious.  And I’m happy to say that it tastes pretty delicious, too!

We decided to try just a few things and we were not disappointed!  We really LOVED the pizza.  What’s interesting and unique about the pizza is that while it’s thin and crispy, the actual pizza dough is crazy flavorful!  They do a great job of creating a nice crust that’s topped with cornmeal and salt.  Yum!

The thing about cichetti (the small plates) is that it tends to be an expensive meal if you’re hungry.  The portions are very small – so you’ll want to order more.  With that being said, we recommend visiting Bar Sugo if you’re looking for a light meal or just to try a few apps or a pizza.
