Now that the weather is FINALLY getting nicer, we’re excited to get back to grilling! And every once in a while, there’s just nothing like a good burger, right?
Stew Leonard’s sells amazing Kobe beef burgers. They are super lean, but juicy and delicious. The quality of the meat is excellent! So I buy them often because they’re just so good and I don’t have to feel guilty about eating fatty red meat.
- 2 Kobe beef patties (we recommend the Stew Leonard’s brand)
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium avocado
- Olive oil
- Salt & pepper
- Crushed red pepper
- 2 whole wheat english muffins
Chop the onion in long circular slices. Saute on low heat in a non-stick pan with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper for about 8-10 minutes, stirring and flipping occasionally.

Grill the Kobe beef patties on very high heat for about 4-5 minutes a side (depending on how thick the patties are). Once they are done, let them sit and rest for at least 5 minutes or so. That’ll make sure that the juices stay contained and don’t run all over the place when you bite into them.
To make the guacamole, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scrape out the avocado into a bowl. Sprinkle with a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Smash with a fork or mortar until smooth consistency.
Toast your english muffins for a few minutes until slightly toasted. But don’t over-toast them or they’ll break apart when you bite down. They should still be soft, but a little toasty.
Now build your burger and enjoy!
