If you’ve ever had Tzatziki Sauce, then you’ll know the simple pleasure of this cool cucumber dipping sauce. Tzatziki is actually very healthy (if you make it the right way) and makes for the perfect afternoon snack because it’s low in calories, but high in protein from the Greek yogurt.
This recipe is super easy & fast. And the best part – it reminds me of summer.
- 1 cup 0% plain greek yogurt (I recommend Fage)
- Fresh juice of a 1/2 lemon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled and chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped finely
In a small plastic container, mix together the greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and olive oil thoroughly. Next, season with salt and sprinkle with the chopped dill. Mix together.
Finally, add in the cucumber, garlic, and mix. Put the container in the fridge and let chill for about 1 hour before serving.
Enjoy with veggies or pita bread.
