After our last visit to Washington Prime in South Norwalk, CT for dinner, we’ve been back quite a bit.  This is the finest of compliments because, hey, there’s just so many good places around to choose from!

Last Sunday, we got together with our fellow bloggers and enjoyed a delicious brunch at Washington Prime.  They have a new buffet style brunch which honestly is a great format for brunch.  Some people (like me) like a breakfasty brunch and some people prefer more lunch brunch.  So this way, everyone is happy and can taste a bit of everything. And with the food at Washington Prime, you won’t ever be disappointed.  For $29.95 per person, you get it all including a complimentary mimosa, bloody mary, or moscow mule.

Brunch at Washington Prime, unlike dinner, allows you to truly enjoy the gorgeous location.  As we walked in, our eyes went right to the delicious colossal tower of raw bar – oysters, clams, and shrimp.  I firmly believe that I could live off of champagne and raw oysters.

After we sat down and ordered drinks, we were ready to eat.  Everyone got up and went their separate ways.  I headed first to the raw bar, then the omelet station.  And I couldn’t resist the french toast – it was delicious!  And the bacon was also a favorite – cooked to perfection!

Jeff went right to the carving station, which was a delicious prime rib, a great fatty hangover food.  Not that we were hungover… 😉

The food was fresh and delicious!  Washington Prime didn’t miss a THING.  It reminded me of the days my parents used to take us to The Breakers Easter brunch down in Palm Beach, Florida.  Our eyes were always bigger than our stomachs and we feasted on raw bar and luscious breakfast foods.
