Mondays are not most people’s’ favorite day of the week.  Luckily, now that we are deep into the heart of football season there’s Monday Night Football to break up the week.  Recently, I had the pleasure of joining the folks at Rizzuto’s in Stamford for a football and poker night!  Yes, you read correctly, football and poker…on a Monday!  The great crew that runs Rizzuto’s decided that as a fun way to bring people out for a casual weeknight they would organize a free entry poker experience that their general manager hosts as the dealer.  You can even redeem your winnings

Gastro Bar – Stamford, CT

Recently we visited a new spot in Stamford called Gastro Bar, located right in the heart of the city.  Gastro Bar offers “Mediterranean cuisine with European highlights”, which (I must say) is spot on with the flavors and dishes on the menu.  We certainly enjoyed some great pizza, wine, and paella, and other yummy tapas.  Inspiration from all over the Mediterranean. To start, we sampled the cocktails & pizza.  We eat a lot of pizza, so we often are particular when it comes to pizza.  But the dough was delicious and flavorful … the texture was perfect and cooked to perfection!  The cocktails were fruity
